About

Located in Eastern North Carolina, Alpha Zulu Waterfowl is a waterfowl breeder with multiple different duck breeds.

AZW started from our love of the outdoors and our interest in homesteading. Starting off as duck hunters with the respect for waterfowl conservation, we decided to adopt our first pair of Wood Ducks as an exotic duck pet. Turning into waterfowl enthusiasts, we founded Alpha Zulu Waterfowl, the farm we have today with multiple duck breeds.

Our Ducklings

Our duckling hatchery is based on the farm. Each duckling is incubator hatched from egg on our farm. Once hatched they move to a brooder until sold or will be moved to the outdoor enclosure around month two. The number and species of ducks will vary each year depending on fertility, etc. We do not vent ducklings; therefore, all duckling purchases will be of unsexed waterfowl.

We are happy to provide duck care tips, such as duck feed and supplies recommended for your duckling adoption.

Our Waterfowl

All waterfowl include rare duck breeds, exotic ducks, and domestic/ornamental ducks. Our waterfowl farm has a large enclosure where all of the ducks can fly and enjoy their very own pond that mimics their natural waterfowl habitat. We make sure to keep up with pond management for our ducks to enjoy a clean environment.

The ducks pick their mates during the winter and typically start laying eggs in their nesting boxes starting in March. We keep mature duck pairings for breeding but also sell mature ducks for those that do not want ducklings.

The duck breeds we currently carry are Mallards, North American Pintails, Wood Ducks, Mandarins, Blue-winged Teal, Green-winged Teal, Gadwall, and Black-bellied whistling duck. With more breeds to come!
